Evan Amo - Pastor

Picture
Evan Amo (he/his) is an inclusive Christian pastor (Presbyterian Church, USA), who lives in Denver, CO with his wife Lauren and daughters Rainey and Sierra. After serving traditional congregations for more than 10 years, Evan sensed a pull to co-create a community for the many spiritual refugees and journeyers who yearn for sacred connection beyond the walls of traditional Christianity. Evan is inspired deeply by the life and ministry of Jesus, accented by the creational-mystic spiritualities of Celtic Christianity and Eastern Orthodoxy, and liberation theologies of many historically oppressed and colonized communities. Thus Evan is passionate about weaving the sacred connection of communing with God in the wildness of nature and in works of compassion and justice with the oppressed and afflicted. Evan loves exploring with people the ways that faith is nurtured through asking questions, embracing doubts, and marveling at the mystery and beauty wherein we find the Divine.

Evan is an avid trail-runner and snowboarder, a very amateur mixologist, and a less amateur musician, playing bass in a local band Hot Like Wasabi and writing and recording his own music in Bruised Reeds.
Evan would love to grab lunch, coffee, or beer and would be grateful to hear your story--send him an email to connect or learn more about Waypoint
